The Alloy Clowns are not a traditional band. The circus-like atmosphere surrounding the Alloy Clowns is more like a music and comedy revue, a unique and modern version of classic vaudevillian song-and-dance acts. Musically, the Alloy Clowns write and perform their own original music while also covering a mix of songs by popular artists from several genres including classic and modern pop/rock, country, and disco, as well as novelty tunes and TV show theme songs. The group features several multi-instrumentalists and all of the Clowns sing. Comedy is an integral part of the Alloy Clowns experience. Influenced by the likes of Monty Python, the Three Stooges, Jerry Lewis, Cheech & Chong, Saturday Night Live, and even the Monkees, the group performs sketch comedy and improvisational skits while infusing these elements with the music in their live shows. Roasting, self-deprecation, double entendre, and the use of simple props in creative ways are all hallmarks of the Alloy Clowns experience. You'll laugh... you'll cry... you may even gag as you take in the sights, the sounds, and the smells of the circus known as... The Alloy Clowns!
